Editorial policy
Where QuebecTaux figures and text come from, how they are kept current, and how to report a mistake.

Rates
Rates come from public sources named on each rate page (for example the Bank of Canada and Desjardins) or from manual entry, flagged as such. Every figure shows its institution and capture date.
A rate whose source could not be verified is not shown. A missing figure stays visibly missing: the site never invents one to fill a table.
Calculators
Each calculator publishes its formula, assumptions and limits on its "How we calculate" page. The formulas are tested automatically on every change to the site.
Results are for information only: not an approval, and not a rate offer.
Guides
Guides explain concepts and procedures. They do not replace the advice of a licensed professional. Rate pages carry an update date; the updates log lists changes.
Corrections
A mistake reported through the contact page is checked against its source, corrected, then recorded in the updates log.
